I agree with most of the reviews ... kind of a run down establishment, but in the absence of anything else like this in Reno, it's worth a visit! Brought my toddler daughter and she loved it. The deer pen is a little overwhelming for the little ones, but bigger kids will enjoy feeding the deer for a few extra... More

I felt guilty just being there. Poor animals in tiny spaces. Sick looking, over weight, lonely and bored. 32.00 for our family to enter and left after 30 mins. I hope our money goes to getting some space for the animals. Not even 50 types of animals unless there is a whole section we couldn't see. This is not a zoo... More

A sad little animal collection out of the city to the west. It simply is not worth the trip unless one hasn't any other opportunity to see a few exotic animals.

I highly recommend this small zoo just north of Reno. They have a variety of interesting animals but even better, the staff has great stories about the animal personalities as well as standard zoo animal information. Interesting ones include hyenas (extraordinarily strange looking animals with unique social behaviors) camels (you will learn to tell the difference between dromedary camels and... More

You know I enjoyed seeing the animals at this zoo but at the same time I wanted to free them all. They were all hot and looked dirty. I think they need to make different arrangements to keep the animals cool. I don't think laying in a metal shed when it is 95 degrees is appropriate. It's $10 to get... More

This is a great zoo just 20-30 miles north of Reno where non native animals have been brought to live. Great for the whole family.

We were in the area and heard that there was a little zoo. We love animals so we were naturally excited. It took about 10 minutes inside to figure out that this place should be shut down. Such a small space for all the animals they had. A lot of the animals seem sick and unhealthy. By far the saddest... More

This is a cute park and the staff is very friendly. Peacocks run around and able to see up close. Lots of different animals to see up close.

Though it's nice to see the animals, this place encourages people to own wild animals! Very bad! They also breed their animals! Again, bad! And the pens are way too small!! If you want to see a great place! Go to the Animal Ark, which is only a few minutes away from this "zoo". The animal ark is a wildlife... More

This is a zoo run by volunteers, so come with that expectation. You get very close to the animals, and they seem comfortable and well kept. The zoo is much cleaner than I imagined, and the staff is very kind and caring. This would be a very fun stop with little ones who maybe couldn't handle a big zoo.
