The moor is a very sombre place - a vast war grave. It is set out brilliantly and if you are ever visiting Scotland it is an absolute must-see. The Battle of Culloden is one of the most significant events in Scottish history and should be appreciated. The memorial cairn is lovely as well as the surrounding memorial benches. Thatched-roof... Amazing lot of research has gone into this and so much to see, hear and read. For that reason it makes it OK for the kinda hefty admission price. Interesting that parking is charged on top of that! Only thing for improvement is the head set and recorded commentary it was tricky, complicated and not always working automatically as the... More

Closed to Inverness in the beautiful highlands this place deserves to be seen. I could't see the museum because it was closed but the moor itself is impressive.

We went here with friends and whilst the visitor centre was excellent as was the exhibition and the battlefield, we were disappointed we couldn't use the headphone facility as they had all run out of charge, and it was only 3 pm during the week. Very disappointing

As a retired soldier and descendant of warriors that sacrificed all at this site - it was particularly moving for me. We visited on a rainy day and enjoyed it very much. The displays are excellent and the self guided tours are excellent - worth the money to get the earphones. I'll come back to see it again - a... More

Beautifully preserved, very educational. We learned a lot about Jacobite clans and Highland culture. I'm sorry that we missed the Exhibition. I would love to go back and spend more time!

Very interesting and informative. Best of all, it's fully accessible for wheelchairs. Excellent preliminary exhibit to prepare visitors for the battlefield. Fans of Diana Gabaldon's books would find it most interesting.

this attraction is really put together well right from the entrance to when you leave. The way they depict the British side and the Scottish side is fascinating. The room where you actually feel that you are in the middle of the battle is really creative. When you finally go to walk around the battlefield be sure you have an... More

So, my husband and I are Outlander fans. However, its opened our eyes to a spectacular country and history we knew very little about. The exhibition was excellent. Informative and interesting. The battlefield tour with the audio guide was so, so good. I'd recommend the whole experience to Outlander fans and history buffs everywhere!

Worth a visit if you are interested, the information and visitor centre is modern, clean and has an excellent cafe with children's corner. The exhibition is worth a look round giving plenty of detail and interactive displays. It was a cold drizzly day when we went out onto the moor but I think it was worth doing even so, it's... More
