I recommend this attraction for people of all ages. The trip is narrated and it recounts the history of the local mining area. The train passes by some tunnels and mines. It is a short ride of about 35 min.

It was chilly but it was a great way to see the area and learn a lot about the history. The tour guides are volunteers and so knowledgeable about the history.

A throw-back to the Old West with a steam locomotive---round trip from Carson City to Virginaia about hour and a half. One can spent 3 hours in Virginia City before heading back to the train. $50.00 per person.A fun experience.

This is a short but pleasant ride starting in Virginia City and looping around to Gold Hill. The conductor gives a history of both locations. For the price, this is an excellent introduction to the area and enjoyable for adults and children.

On our recent summer vacation we ventured up to Virginia City NV. Te Virginia & Truckee Railroad is great for young and old. The conductor/historian was very informative about the workings and history of silver mining in the area.
