The museum is not large, but gives you a taste of the lifestyle in the mining era. Displays of medicine bottles, mining equipment, pump organ, and other items. They show a running video series covering different aspects of western life. I bought a Morgan silver...More

For $3, it was worth the 35 minutes or so to learn the history of the area and some buildings. There are a few short films and lots of pictures and some artifacts

This place was neat but not anything to write home about. Staff was very friendly, however, and there were some interesting displays.

Such a cool place, and so much stuff it definitely deserves more than one visit. I'm a history buff so it was a must see for me! Make sure to have a good hour to wander around and see it all.

This museum is very interesting and only $3 at the time we were there. The relics of past are all here and is a worthwhile stop.

This is a large museum, with a lot of historical artifacts in relation to life in Virginia City during the Gold Rush. We spent a good hour looking at all of the displays, and watching a short film.
