clean water, shade and facilities... narrow beach but long (1/4)mile so people don't sit on top of everyone...picnic tables are in the shade... grills are allowed

We took a break here from a long bike ride around the lake. Turned into a few hours of relaxing beach side. It's a long narrow beach with gorgeous lake views. Very family friendly. The water was so clear and refreshing I couldn't stop commenting on that!

One of the cleanest lakes in all of the United States, spring fed, cooler water temps, although on this day it was 76 degrees, and perfect for cooling off. The beach is long, but narrow so it's great for families to be able to keep an eye on their little ones. There is a public changing area, bathrooms, snack bar,... More

This is by far our favorite beach in the area. It is a beautiful place to spend the day. Clean bathrooms and Changing rooms. Life guards on duty at all times. Plenty of picnic tables and grills, so bring some charcoal spend the day. We live locally so we visit year round and it is beautiful thru the seasons. As... More

My wife and I went to this park on our honey moon as we visited New Hampshire. Wellington State Park is a very nice little state park. It has a spectacular--seriously spectacular beach on Newfound lake with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. Tall pine trees dominate the landscape and form a canopy over the park. The water is clear... More

You can't go wrong going here. Water is always clean and clear. Big swimming area. And also a deeper swim area for doing laps. Long beach. Trees for shade. Grills and tables for picnics or you can buy something at the snack bar.

We love this place! It used to be $5 per car, and now it's $5 per person, but even then, it's worth it! Lots of room for the whole family .... picnic sites .... bathhouse .... clean swimming areas ... easy parking! Leave your pets at home and go for the day! It's wonderful!

Tried to go July 3rd, and the parking lot was full, so we would have had to wait in a line for probably a few hours. The lake itself appears to be beautiful from the road.

Been going since I was a kid , on the fourth , my kids , now my grand kids . Only have one complaint , it's sad when tax payers of this state can't get into to celabrate with there family's . Cause it full , but yet the park is full of out of state people :(

Thank Ann S
