Award winning, friendly, inviting and generally awesome little storefront in a quiet little town that you have to visit if you are anywhere within 50 miles of it. Husband had never had mead of any kind, and the Sap House has a mead for every taste. From dry and smooth, to soft and sweet to spicy and tingly. You will... More

We have visited the Sap House Meadery for tastings and purchasing mead on a few occasions. We've heard good things about their new pub and the food offerings. We picked a Thursday evening and headed over to give it a try. We were promptly and pleasantly greeted by the hostess/barkeep/cook. There are just a few tables and a small bar... More

For a fun afternoon, we drove from Kennebunkport ME to Ossippee NH especially to use a Groupon ($20) which we purchased for a tour and tasting. I didn't check, but they only have tours on Saturday. We didn't mind as we have toured wineries, distilleries and meaderies before so we were looking forward to using our Groupon for the tasting.... More

Kay, I can't tell you how appreciative I am of your positive and honest review in spite of there being some misunderstanding about how the Groupon deal worked. If you could, please email me directly at matt@saphousemeadery.com. I'd like to make it up to you. Thanks and happy holidays! Matt More

Small but definitely stop in. They just started offering a couple/few dishes, best for a light snack. Atmosphere and decorations are very cool! Staff in knowledgeable and friendly. They offer an extensive variety of free Mead tastings. Got 3 different types and also the tasting glass.

Visited for the second time for the tasting sessions. Interesting and very informative. Ossipee has suffered economic decline over many years and it is superb to visit and support a locally run venture. The mead is made on the premises with locally sourced ingredients. Great tastes and well priced. Remember ID for over 21yr old drinkers.

I wanted to try mead, and wasn't disappointed. they had several types, and some good beer selections fill out the options. The menu was limited, but what I had was real good-ploughman's platter. Their hours are limited. I've been going to Ossipee for many years; this is the best addition I've run into.

We loved the tasting we did at the Sap House Meadery. My favorite is the Raspberry, $35 per bottle which seem worth it to me, delightfully delicious. Husband loved the Sugar Maple Mead. All so smooth and a nice sweet buzz. Found this establishment to be very hip, friendly and love that they sponsor many local products in the making.... More

This little gem in Center Ossipee has become a "go to spot" for my wife and I. Ash and Matt, the owners, have created a wonderful spot for those individuals who are looking for something unique in the Lakes Region. This tasting room is perfect for those looking to enjoy a beverage, a little food and the ability to have... More

Interesting to see the process and proprietor was very welcoming and generous with tastings. Great variety of mead to sample. Perfect for the holidays and especially good with cheese.

Stopped in to try lunch at the Sap House. Nice cheese plate & fresh tacos. The cranberry mead was good. The no name drink was awesome.
