The view from the top is amazing and worth every sweat, blood, and tear shed during the hike up. This was a moderate hike but because we were still sore from a previous hard hike, hiking Mt Chocorua was quite a challenge for us. Nevertheless,...More

Beautiful views, great trail, not too much traffic. Last 20% of the trail includes significant climb on steep rocks - not for those who fear heights.

Hiked up the falls trail and sat and had lunch on a rock in the middle of the falls. BEAUTIFUL! Great on a hot day!

My two brothers, a sister-in-law, a 33-year-old nephew and I hiked up to the Liberty Cabin on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We encountered perhaps a dozen other people during the full-day hike. We had meant to get started at 8:00 in the morning, but in...More

Great almost anytime of year, but summit takes on especial magic during foliage season. Be careful to know your route as there are loop options but not all trails end at the same trailhead.

My husband and I took our 15 y/o son and 4 of his friends on this hike. We did the Champney Falls trail (off rt. 112) and then the Pike trail for the final 0.4 miles. The Champney trail was well maintained and quite attractive....More

This hike was labeled moderate/easy. The trail was pretty and manageable. I read about "light rock scrambling" at the summit. I didn't agree and as I'm afraid of heights had a very difficult time the last .4 miles. There was quite a bit of climbing....More
