Beautiful small lake with relatively warm water, great for swimming; some sand along the shore was fun for kids to dig. Also enjoyed hundreds of tiny frogs along shore and pollywogs in water. Dramatic views of Cathedral Ledge above.

This park has a very nice lake for swimming, and lots of young families had their kids out in the water. Yes, it does have lifeguards, along with plenty of picnic facilities and tables. One thing we did NOT enjoy about this park was the...More

We always spend two or three mornings by the lake when we visit the area. The beaches are clean and there are plenty of picnic tables to settle at. This year the water was really warm and full of tadpoles. Venture further round the lake...More

Echo lake is a great swimming spot for families with young children. Entrance is cheap, there is lots of shade and picnic tables, there is plenty of shallow water, the toilets are clean and the water is warm (unlike the Saco River). As an adult...More

So peaceful and beautiful. We would definitely add a visit to this lake to our annual trip to North Conway. We fell in love with this place. We went at the end of June. So quiet. I bet in July it's not quiet, but I...More

Stopped here to let the kids run/swim. There are changing stalls, place to wash your feet off, and a grill if you want to take it that far. Adults are $4 and 6 to 11( I think) are $2 under 6 is free. You can...More

We walked to the lake from a home we rented on Airbnb. It was off season, so no State park fees applied during the time of our visit.

I would assume yes but not sure. that said, it is not a very big body of water and i would not consider it a great place to kayak. you can walk around the entire lake in probably 20 minutes.
