Very nice in town loop trail around the lake. Winds through and around the Philips Exeter Campus. Light rain during the walk did NOT detract from the beauty. A small gem in a lovely NH town.

Trails are well-used, but still beautiful. Doggie stations are at strategic points so that you can take pets. I find them enjoyable in any season - good in particular for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. doggie

Phillips Exeter Academy has created an urban forest surrounded by homes, businesses and roads. Exeter is a great town to visit and th trail could be a great diversion in a day of activities. However, there are no designated parking areas on any map or road sign and the casual visitor could feel like a trespasser rather than a guest of... More

You can get on this trail system from a few sides of Exeter and what a treat it is. So glad Phillips keeps it up and public. Lots of variety including the dog park. So great!

A section of the PEA trail system is part of the cross country course, so it is well maintained and clearly marked. A nice place to run, bike, and cross country ski. Mostly flat with few roots.

My wife and I hiked through here as an easy afternoon stroll. It is literally a walk in the park with some bushwhacking along the river if you wish to be more adventurous. Great for dates, young children, physically or otherwise handicapped, elderly.
