The ski area and the tramway and the beautiful Franconia Range grab your attention, but don't let the flashy stuff distract you from the park's other features. I've enjoyed the bike path, which is a real treat in the early morning before the crowds arrive....More

Go early to avoid crowds that ruin photos, but this park is really beautiful and well maintained. Feels remote if you can get away from the people, the river is clear and the falls sound wonderful in the canyon. Worth it for the pictures and...More

Riding through Franconia Notch State Park, I was first surprised that Route 93 was only two lanes in one direction. But then suddenly this major highway was only one lane in each direction for quite a few miles. Apparently, this was the only way that...More

I so loved this park. Even though you pay to do the walk it is for the upkeep of this beautiful park and well worth the money. Plenty of scenic views and a lovely walk with beautiful waterfalls.

Hi, we're planning our visit for the last weekend in April. Is this a good time to hike or should we be concerned with the mud? Is camping available at any State Parks? Thanks

I've only been there once in the fall. Not sure about snow cover and when that would be gone. As far as mud, I wouldn't think there would be so much as there is so much granite. The trails in the park are exquisite. There... More

I happen to pass by today how far is it to the bottom? With the Franconia Notch Park do they have any easy trails? I will consider it next time when I work it in my schedule
