The cleanest and most tranquil lake in New England. Though it is not as marketed as other lakes, that's what makes it so special. With almost no commotion, lots of beachfront and clean, deep water, there is no rival body of water.

Any of the lodging along the lake is pricey if you plan on a day trip the state park is the best place to go to enjoy the lake keep in mind it is a cold water lake but still one of the cleanest in the state

We put in our kayaks at the state park and paddled 3 miles down the lake. This lake is beautifully situated under the mountains. The water is clean and clear and the loons are beautiful. We are seriously thinking of buying a lake house here!

I must confess I never new Newfound Lake was a short jaunt off I-93, but I had seen a TV chronicle feature and thought I have to go check this place out. My son I and I drove there this past weekend and were surprised that for a post holiday weekend there were a few community marketplaces, one even had... More

A favorite of ours. Love the Ledge Water Steakhouse and Inn at Newfound Lake. Hiking at Cardigan Mountain. Visit Spectacle Pond, too!

This is truly a beautiful lake! I much prefer the mountains, but this lake will grow on anyone. The entire volume of water turs over three or four times per year making it very clean. Fortunately for us, we now live onlt ten minutes away! It is a great place to kayak or canoe. If you are in the area,... More

Celebrated our Mom's 90th birthday. We had a great week. The homes were clean, had beautiful views of the lake. The new Redwood was beautifully built and allowed us to have family meals for 18 of us without being cramped.

We lived in this area for six years so know it well. The Lake is so clean and wonderful for boating. Nice swimming off the boat too, which we did often. It's definitely the quiet side of Rt93 and that's fine. If you like honky tonk then this is not for you. But if you love nature in all it's... More

Our friends live on Newfound Lake and it is totally peaceful and beautiful. Surrounded by quaint little towns.
