This beach is one of the most manicured beaches I have been to. They do nightly grooming on the sand and the weekly fireworks in the summer are great. one of my favorite places to go with friends. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away avoid this area from late May until early September. This is... More

Very urban, a strip of sand 200 feet wide and 3/4 mile long or so. Plenty of restrooms, plan on paying to park, as all the parking is by a meter that gives you a receipt to put on your dash. The boardwalk of shops in directly across from the sand beach. not the worst beach, but probably packed in... More

I am in New Hampshire several times during the year for work, and Hampton Beach is a lovely spot for relaxing. It's also an ideal area for walking and running.

Having been to many beach spots along the whole east coast from Maine to Florida, Hampton Beach fits the profile. Crowded in the summer, empty the rest of the year. Along the main strip you have the beach, food places, water park, arcades, and even a non gaming casino for concerts. The beach is nice and has shower facilities, and... More

Larger than the smaller town beach is this expansive beach. I prefer the smaller one to the crowds here in Spring and Summer.

During a mild winter you will have this stretch of beach & path to yourself, relatively. If its clear and theirs no snow, stop in, parking is free. And go for a run. You will see horses and dogs on this beach this time of year. No tourists. Just locals. It's a nice flat stretch and you can get in... More

Have been going to Hampton Beach State Park Beach for decades. When the renovations were completed a couple years ago they created , in my opinion, the best state Beach in the area. It's clean, well kept, many boardwalk seats, clean well kept comfort ( bathroom) stations, with showers, a fantastic band stand, safety, places to set up Beach volleyball,... More

Avoid Hampton Beach like the plague in July and August, but do come back in September or even October. Lots of places are still open and the atmosphere is much quieter and more pleasant. Beautiful place to take in the sunset.

The HBSP is a great place to go on a sunny, hot day to cool off and enjoy the boardwalk and food. They have Monday night movies on the beach for kids. Wednesday night the fireworks. Every night in the summer music at the center stage. We go every year and always a nice way to spend an inexpensive day... More
