The Tuck Museum is home of the Hampton Historical Society. It consists of a number of buildings, a number of monuments, a well, and antique objects. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. A generous, knowledgeable, personable volunteer staff member treated us to a surprisingly varied exhibit of historical buildings and artifacts. We were also offered access to the library of topical reference materials, but that will have to wait for another trip! The reconstructed barn, beach cabin from mid-century, and fire museum each delivered vignettes of historical curiosities.

The town of Hampton has a great collection stored here. So many donations from so many people with deep ties and roots to the town make up an astonishing and historic museum filled with artifacts. Don't miss out on the collection from the Hampton Fire Department. It's worth the time to stop in and tour.

A wonderful history lesson of Hampton NH! We enjoyed everything about our visit today from the history of Hampton beach and early Hampton industries to the old school house to the 1930's beach cottage , the historic barn filled with antique tools and the firefighters exhibit. The volunteers were extremely kind, friendly and knowledgable!

Thank Jeanne C
