Its huge! Can't seem to find a way to the top. Haven't tried hard yet. About all you can do is walk around it and Try to Imagine a glacier pushing it there. When I suppose it's a good place to walk your dog! I...More

If you are in the area this is an interesting sight to see for a quick side trip or a place to get out and stretch your legs. A HUGE boulder in the middle of the woods is not something you see everyday. It's a...More

A short walk from the parking area will lead you to something you've never seen before and something that clearly looks out of place with its surroundings. Gives you a great perspective of where you stand with mother nature if you read the info on...More

Simply said... a great free attraction... mother nature sure has done it here... kids will love the short walk thru the forest from the ample parking area... off the beaten path.. yet well worth it!!

This is an interesting side stop if you're in the area. A giant boulder moved by a glacier sitting in the middle of the woods. It's fairly impressive when you get up to it.

This was not that well sign-posted but worth the perseverance to find it - no particular signs from the very small car-park, so you head off in the only real direction available in the hope you are right. Five to ten minutes walk you come...More

Stopped here on our way to Mt Washington. It's a little bit out of the way, but that also means there aren't a lot of people there. Short walk to and around the boulder. Great info signs. Fun to say we've seen it!

In Madison NH there is a really large boulder-- it's really to big to say its a boulder, except it is. It is the largest boulder formed from a glacier anywhere in North America. The walk from the parking lot takes about 15 minutes, walking...More
