Great road with nice views of the river and valleys/mts. May be closed in winter months. Has a number of 'side' roads and hiking/viewing areas.

This is a great highway especially for bikers. Unfortunately due to inclement weather we went by car and still enjoyed the trip. Would love to go by bike in September

Whenever we visit the White Mountain region a drive on the Kancamagus is a must. If you enjoy hiking and scenic views, there's plenty of places to stop along the way. Also in the summer there's a couple of great swimming spots as well.

Took the Kancamagus Highway when we were in New Hampshire to see the fall foliage. Although there wasn't many leaves changed yet, it is still a scenic drive.

A beautiful drive with some fantastic scenery and mountain views. It was a particularly misty day when we drove along the highway but we saw some lovely views of the trees in various stages of autumnal clothing and when the mist cleared excellent mountain views...More

Can anyone post how the colors are now or this week? Pictures would be great if you could share? I am wondering if this weekend would be best or next? any ideas?

Sunset is 7:14pm on the so plenty of time before it is dark. You've pretty much highlighted most of the places to stop with a view. But also have a look at Pemigewasset Overlook
