Amidst all the crowds and bustle of the NH coast and beaches in the summer, Rye State Park is always a nice oasis. We were there this time on a beautiful summer day and yet there was plenty of room to find a place to...More

A friend and I enjoyed this park as our first stop along the New Hampshire coast on the way to Maine. Our main focus was bird-watching, and I was thrilled to see all the Common Eiders and other birds just off the shoreline. The harbor...More

The park juts out into the ocean, so the views are pretty incredible. The Isles of Shoals are only 7 miles away. There's a small adjoining rocky beach that's fun to walk (but not at high tide) as well as a tiny beach at the...More

Rye Harbor State Park offers some fantastic views. If the day is very clear, you can see the Isle of Shoals perfectly!

According to the park website, the fee is $4 for adults and $2 for children ages 6 to 11. If the kiosk is unattended, you deposit the money in what is called the iron ranger.
