The NH Fish & Game Dept were giving a presentation on NH Bears recently at the museum. We arrived a bit early and were pleasantly surprised that the museum was not only open for exploring, but filled with many different types of local and other wildlife displays. Although not overly large, we spent a good 45 minutes enjoying the museum's... More

My husband and I just spent a delightful hour here with our eleven year old granddaughter. She loved the scavenger hunts, drawing us both to explore all corners of this small gem. For a nominal fee ($2 adults, $1 children), here's the perfect rainy day escape. Mixes a lot of natural history with archeology and local history. All ages will... More

The Libby Museum is a hidden gem. It is a great rainy day activity. There are always scavenger hunts which makes it very interesting. There are different levels of difficulties for different age groups. The collection is broad and very interesting. Well worth spending and hour or two visiting.

This venerable little museum, across the street from Lake Winnipesaukee, holds more interesting artifacts and displays than one can imagine. It will mesmerize your children with the variety of its displays of (stuffed) wildlife (including an alligator), mummies and too much to mention. I liked it so much that, since I live just a few miles from it, I became... More

My wife and I travel a fair amount and we always like to see what make up the places we visit. Going to this museum allowed us to delve into the history and ecology of the area - an area we love to stay in.

We love this place! We just took our four grandkids here and they had fun and enjoyed it! They gave the kids a pencil and paper with items to check off and draw them. They were on a Scavenger Hunt looking for the items on their list. They also had some hands on area for the kids to touch and... More

We have passed this Museum for years but never stopped in. This year I read they had a special Thursday am program for kids over the summer. I signed my two Grandsons up for one and while they went to their 2 hour visit with Gov. Wentworth my husband and I tours the Museum. The best $2 we spent this... More

Cute, small museum, but kids (and some of the adults) were bored and flew through the museum displays. Good as a rainy day back up plan!

A "not to be missed" experience when visiting Wolfeboro. My grandchildren look forward to it each summer. An eclectic mix of fascinating natural history and personal collections, the Libby offers diverse programs and lectures. Children who visit receive a scavenger hunt list and upon completion are rewarded with a personal treasure! A great place for all ages!
