It was an experience to climb up the lighthouse. My 4 year old enjoyed it a lot. There was ample parking space. The deck near the lake was a nice spot to get pictures. It was a day well spent. There is a good beach view from the lighthouse. It was the first lighthouse i ever visited so it was... More

My team and I brought kids here for an end-of-the-summer bbq. It was a nice little trip for them. I hadn't been down here in years, so it was nice to get away from the busyness of life and chill at the beach and the lighthouse for a day. When I climbed the lighthouse, I was up there for a... More

Visiting the lighthouse is required by us every trip we make to Cape May. It's in a beautiful location and well kept-up. Plenty of parking and public restrooms! The walk to the top is not too strenuous and the views are terrific. There's a small gift shop that doesn't detract from the lighthouse itself. About 50 yards from the lighthouse... More

Any trip to Cape May is worth at least one visit to the light house. Climbing all the stairs is always a challenge but the view is well worth it.

We climbed the lighthouse under a full moon. Definitely not an experience to be missed. The view was breath taking with the moon reflecting on the ocean. I think it was 199 steps but there are places where you can take a break on the way up. The stairs are narrow, windy, and tight at the top. Probably not a... More

As with all lighthouses the steps to the top should be done with stops along the way,but the view is well worth it.

Super neat lighthouse; you get the tickets at the lighthouse, not the store. They do take credit cards. There are 217 steps to the top and what a beautiful view! There is a Fort on the beach you can see, and a walking trail. Take your camera on a clear day, and bring your walking shoes. Great for the little... More
