Great place for a nice relaxing walk.

This place is open now and what a blessing. If it's only to get your steps in for your fit bit or to soak in nature this is the place to do it.

Fairly well maintained nature area and hiking trail on the south end of NJ. Parking is a little bit limited but never packed, and you can follow the trails all the way to the Cape May Point lighthouse and park.

Flat, easy hike around marshes. Lots of water fowl, even in winter time. Sea breeze with sound of the ocean is very relaxing.

Was here for the birding festival and visited here as one of the guided tours with a naturalist. Lots to see! Highly recommended!

This is a great place for birding. Check the schedule for guided walks that are available there several times a week.

I live in Cape May and never tire of hiking the trails here. There is easy access to the beach and the birds which live there. Take your camera and a couple of bottles of water. You never know what you will see. We have swans, geese, ducks, glossy ibis, egrets, oystercatchers, black skimmers, osprey, eagles, wild turkeys (honest to... More

We went back to this spot a couple of times throughout our stay in Cape May this week. Quiet, open space, lots of birds, well-maintained walkways that lead to the beaches, plenty of spots to sit and draw or write, many views to photograph. Just lovely. Don't forget your hats or bug spray!

My husband and I always make a point to visit this nature preserve when we visit Cape May. There are two main berms to walk along, bordered on both sides with native vegetation, flora, butterflies, ponds, and myriad other wildlife. If you're here at sunset, you can catch the late flight of the ducks as they seek the ponds to... More

My husband and I just spent a weekend in Cape May with some new friends. We joined a bird watching trip with the Pennsylvania Nature Conservancy. We started at South Cape May Meadows - a Nature preserve protected by the Nature Conservancy 40(?) years ago. It is a special place - for those who like to bird watch and for... More

We stopped here for a short walk. Unfortunately the hurricane was on the way in, rain started so we could not spend enough time. Also the weather was affecting the wildlife. This is a short walk but you do need sturdy shoes. Walk slowly so you do not disturb the wildlife and so you can see all the wildlife. this... More
