Open from June 20th through September 20th, from 10 AM to 4 PM, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Leaming's Run Gardens is a charming series of flower gardens nestled into acres of native woodlands in Cape May County, New Jersey. The shady path leads you past a bamboo grove, an expansive cinnamon fernery, and many beautiful vistas created by the themed flower plantings. The gardens were created by the Aprill family to preserve the centuries old woodlands and wetlands that are home to many rare native plants, and to create a relaxing place for visitors to escape from the pace of modern life. Family owned and operated for 36 years, the gardens are supported solely through admission fees. No outside funding has ever been received. Hummingbirds are plentiful in August. We hope you will visit, relax, and leave refreshed. We appreciate the support the garden has received from our guests over the years.Jack, Emily, Gregg and Missie Aprill

This was a magical place for my wife and I. We were married here and visited each year and attended the Halloween fest"Screamings Run". I'd love to see it reopen. A great loss...

Due to an unfortunate fire the gardens are now closed. Not sure when or if they ever will reopen. This is a great loss to the Cape May County community.

Very pretty walk looking at wildflowers and nature. A little pricy for entry fee. Nice sunny day watching flowers bloom what more can one ask for?

This amazing multi-facet garden is closed for good. There is a goodbye on their website and, when we passed the garden on April 15, 2017, the sign was gone. It's sad because although the garden was a bit disheveled, it had charm. Too bad I...More

Live very close to site. Visit several times each year. Beautiful grounds, often with seasonal themes. Birds and small animals often seen. Great time spent here. Great for couples or older children.

Lovely place to take a leisurely afternoon stroll among a variety of garden vignettes where butterflies abound. You will learn about the plants as well.

The garden is a little over price for what we saw. We saw very little wild life. Just a few butterflies and dragon flies. The flowers were the same flowers in my own back yard. I give it 3 stars for the bamboo area and...More

I have been visiting Leamings Run for close to 20 years. This was the place to go in late August early September to watch the humming birds as they head south. The gardens WERE always meticulous and blended with the natural surroundings. You would see...More
