We received a tip that this NJ location was easier than driving right into NYC. Absolutely true! Ample parking, large boat, great views of Manhattan, seemed to be less crowded. Big heads up though: tickets to actually get into the Statue sell out quickly. We...More

We reserved tickets online and went to Will Call the next day to pick up our tickets. We are so glad we got there really early for the 9 am boat ride, because by the time we got through security and lined up there were...More

We booked our Statue of Liberty island trip from Liberty State Park since we did not find a spot on the Battery Park cruise. The decision was good as there's ample of parking space (parking is not free though). It's easier to drive to this...More

This tour is fantastic. We wish we had booked far enough in advance to get tickets to get up to the Statue of Liberty. When we booked it seemed that pedestal access needed to be booked at least a week in advance and crown access...More

After reading some bad reviews regarding staff, waiting time etc we decided to pick up the ferry from liberty state park as this one seemed less busy from other reviews. The walk from the light rail station with young children (7) is long and there...More

We had a Great day trip on a Sunday to visit Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. We took three kids with us and it was a great piece of history. What an amazing view of North Jersey and New York. Highly recommend this trip.

Nice and easy way to get to the two islands. Interesting to see how immigrants used to be screened upon arrival to the US. Statue of Liberty was the main reason for the trip. Ferry service was easy to use. There seemed to be lots...More

Hi, I am planning to take my daughter and granddaughter to the Statue of Liberty on Dec 4th and have a 1 PM reservation from Liberty Park, NJ which includes access to the crown. Questions: 1. What does the 1 pm reservation time refer to: e.g., the time that I need to be at the ferry box office to pick up my tickets or the time the ferry departs, or the time that the actual tour of the statue begins???? 2. What time should I plan to arrive at the ferry terminal to pick up my tickets? 2. Is all of the security screening and ticket pickup done at the ferry terminal? When I get to Liberty Island, is there a line to get into the statue? 3. Is there a place to eat lunch either in Liberty State Park, the ferry or Liberty Island?

Took the ferry two weeks ago. The time is the ferry ride from NJ. Arrive 30 mins early, park and walk 5 mins to center. Pickup tickets, better still print at home. Walk 10 mins to jetty and security lines. Short wait times... More

As you can see, I am very confused about the exact procedure, and the park and ferry websites are very vague.

1. One pm reservation time means the actual time that the ferry departs. 2. You need to arrive at the ferry terminal at least two hours before departure time because December time as a busy period despite cold winter... More

Hi, planning a driving trip that up east coast that will include visiting Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from the LIberty Park NJ side. We will probably arrive in early to mid May this year. Are there any days of the week that are least crowded to do the Statue Cruise to these islands?
