The memorial is very well designed and worth a few minutes. It features a steel beam that visitors can touch. The layout faces the tower site and memorial walls form towers when you step back. Kudos to the designers. Located within Liberty Park providing spectacular...More

We actually went here twice, but the second trip we had a guide. We did not go to the museum as we had time constraints. We were there the year after this sad event in our history and we both felt this is a wonderful...More

This simple memorial consists of two walls lined up to frame where the Twin Towers would have been. There is a similar memorial on Staten Island. The walls are inscribed with New Jersey citizens who were killed in the attack.

I infrequently take family and friends visiting the area to Liberty State Park which is in Jersey City, NJ. Overlooking where the Twin Towers used to be, it is a fitting remembrance of the lives lost on 9/11 who lived in New Jersey. Every name...More

I usually came to liberty park with my husband to walk but today I went alone. It was the only day I walked over to this memorial and I'm glad I did. It was literally a walk through memory lane. It was beautiful and sparked...More

Do not miss. A quiet place to reflect. Walk through the memorial, then spend some time looking across the river.

This is a really beautiful design for a memorial looking right across the river at the twin towers site. A must visit for all. Sad but wonderful.

A visit here on the New Jersey side is well worth a look. After suffering damage from a previous hurricane (Sandy 2012) it is still in good surroundings. When the sun catches this memorial at a certain angle it forms an incredible circle of light...More

Despite being in the middle of a busy park, this place manages to inspire quiet reflection in those who are near it. I recommend visiting and imagining what the people across the Hudson witnessed on 9/11, many of whom had family members or who themselves...More

Yes, there is a free area to park for a limited time to park which is enough for the memorial. If you want to go to Ellis and/or Liberty Island you will need to park in the paid lot.

Very accessible parking lot is close to the memorial. We got confused and paid to park in the wrong lot. Drive past the pay lot to memorial parking. The views on a clear day are quite something.
