Lovely, peaceful park. The roads are smoothly paved between rows of trees; you drive slowly and can't help but get drawn in to the peaceful natural environment. Clean, very big and well maintained playing fields for soccer, baseball and more. There's even a lake called Lake Fishigan - for fishing. There are playful, kid-friendly and colorful playgrounds, a number of them, for different ages children, and a nice not too big lake with seasonal ducks and geese. There are a few areas with tables and benches and BBQ grills for great picnics and nice parking areas throughout. As an additional point of interest, I appreciate that very time I'm there, at some point I see a security officer driving through the meandering paths to make sure we're all OK. Definitely worth a visit in any season. ~ OK, every season.

Ocean County Park in Lakewood, New Jersey - what a respite from the self-isolation endured during this pandemic. Sundays more people show up at the Park, but still plenty of room in this 323 acre Park for more than social distancing. The lake with the long-necked geese is lovely and there are paths and one can enjoy walking around the lake. The geese are well fed by the children and families that enjoy stopping there. The Park originally belonged to the Rockefeller family. It's a pleasure to walk through this Park with the multitude of tall trees in the lush forests on either side of the roads. There are many lovely fields where one can get away from people and play frisbee or ball games. Our family enjoyed alternating frisbee and catching a ball with our 3 year old. The 3 year old and her granny enjoyed walking on the grass in their stocking feet. There is no picnicking or food allowed in the Park at this time and the playgrounds are cordoned off. On one of our walks, we noticed a small beach which is probably closed right now. But the fresh air, the sunshine, the walks, the lake, the geese, the ball games and frisbee, are all so welcome after being shut in one's home all these months. And the rest will come when the pandemic is finally over. These activities will return after the pandemic is over: picnicking, swimming, beach volleyball, fishing, golf, playing in playgrounds, tennis courts, and a driving range. For now there is walking, enjoying the forests, the lake and the geese, playing ball, frisbee, jogging, running, and just enjoying being in the great outdoors and in nature! Ocean County Park in Lakewood, N.J. - don't miss the splendid beauty of this natural Park with the unspoiled beauty of the forests and lake!

Large Park with many activities, beach, lake, golf, playground, hiking, biking and picnicking.
Great enjoyment for all ages. Beautiful grounds, not wheelchair friendly, unfortunately.
Plenty of parking. Clean bathroom facilities. BBQ's available. Two nice playgrounds.
Turtles in the lake. Great time was had by all.

Really nice place, silent, chill, harmony with the nature! :) Nice natural sounds and fresh air. Good for a big walk or picnic.

A nice spacious park for the family. New playground, nice walking trail, large picnic area near lake. Picnic area gets very busy on weekends in the summer.

My husband and I went with out baby. It was great. First we went on a nice walk, there is a small beach there as well. Then we had a picnic and out baby got to go on the swings by one of the swingsets. Perfect for all ages. 0-120!

I walk this park's trails frequently and have been coming here for over twenty years. It is beautiful, clean, safe and has much to offer. The parks and recreation center holds classes and there is a ceramics center. There is a small beach, tennis courts, playgrounds, softball fields, frisbee/golf, walking or biking trails, outdoor grills, picnic tables, a golf range and it is rarely crowded.

I have been coming here for years. The park has alot to offer. There is a small beach and a kiddie playground next to it where you can take little ones. There is a small area near the beach with picnic tables. Other areas of the park feature several tennis courts, and a baseball field. There is a nice wide open grassy area for various activities like frisbee, catch, flying kites or just plain relaxing on the grass. Tucked away in one corner of the park is a small lake with a walking path around it. There is also another picnic area with outdoor grills and a children's playground nearby. A nice place to spend a few hours for all ages.
