First Energy Park is the home park for the Lakewood Blue Claws. Not only are they very invested in their local communities, they are also great supporters of thelocal Scouting programs, allowing special nights for the kids to attend a game and have an overnight sleepover on the field with a big screen movie to finish off their special night. This year, I attended as part of the APO fraternity reunion, getting to meet many of the menwho were my husband's peers during his college days before meeting me. Everyone was very accommodating to the wide age range that needed accommodation and our buffet was tasty, plentiful and hot. The Park itself has a wide variety of food choices from typical baseball park food choices to oriental, italian, and kosher concessions to name a few Prices are reasonable; the restrooms plentiful and clean; and they alow for tailgating pre-games. There is adequate handicapped parking and reasonable parking fees. Specialty theme nights offer someting for all ages, with my favorite being an Irish night with the bagpipers. Firework nights are always impressive. Staff, security and first-aid resources are visible and very friendly. Crowd control has never been an issue in my experience. If you are travelling to their locale and they have a local game, I would heartily endorse them as a recreational destination for your family.

Visited First Energy Park to watch a BlueClaws game. Very nice stadium, friendly staff and clean. The $1 beers are in a small plastic cup so I typically skip those bit overall a great time.

Why no cash allowed??? Couldn't get in an opening day because the lines to get into the parking lot we're around the block because now the parking lot vendors cannot take cash yet the person took cash for me today went to buy tickets with cash was told I can only use a credit card what about a person who does the cash business who shows up to the park and doesn't want to put it on his 26% credit card total total bad business decision and it definitely hurts. Families are trying to come out in a bad economy. From a long time fan I'm not coming back anymore. If you're coming out to the game come very early or you missed the beginning of the game on opening night I was still in the line and it was 730 the game was already half over . Another thing the parking lot near the third base line is looking like a junkyard with the same trash piled up fir the past two years. What kind of management is running this place? Sad as many families look forward to an affordable day at the ballpark but greed and corporate powers that be simply don't care rule the day.

I attended a BlueClaws game with a former coworker. I don't like the fact that this is a no-cash ballpark, but figured this wouldn't be a problem because I have credit cards. The problem happened at the ticket booth, when I was asked for my phone number so that a digital ticket could be sent to me. I told the ticket guy that I don't have a smartphone. The coworker I was with gave his number so that the tickets could be sent to his phone, but this didn't work, even after he repeated his number a few times. Finally, the tickets were printed on copier paper and given to us. We arrived at the ticket window just as the national anthem was playing, and this hassle took so long that we missed the top of the first inning. Everything would have been so much faster and easier if the stadium accepted cash and gave out regular tickets. Just because something can be done digitally, that doesn't mean it should be done that way. I won't be back, even though I have no complaints about the ballpark itself.

Cash is no longer accepted as payment. Found out when I paid to park. Sign said $5, was charged 5.33 on my credit card. At the box office no paper tickets, and also charged a "convenience" fee for tickets sent to my smart phone. No longer fan friendly just added expenses.

Took my office to Blue Claws game end of June. 25 people for Luxury Suite. Game and atmosphere was great. Food was average. Not enough water provided for 25 people. Asked for more water and was charged additional $36.00 for 12 more bottles. Dessert was 25 cookies for 25 people. Really!!! Very disappointed considering the price paid for the suite. Must say though our bar waitress was excellent. Will think twice before having another work related event with Blue Claws.

This ball park is perfect for the family or just a couple of baseball lovers! The location is perfect for the shore area baseball fans. Easy access from the Garden State Parkway north and south. The relatively new exit ramps put the traveler on Cedar Bridge Ave and the the stadium is about a mile or so and its a straight shot! Parking is plentiful and reasonably priced. The new minor league style stadium is very comfortable and the views from anywhere are unobstructed. There are many vendors, bars and eateries all along the "walk in" level and seating is just below and not too many steps to the front row seats. Handicapped accommodations are plentiful. The outfield grass bleachers are a popular place for the young at heart. There are a variety of bounce house, blow up slides and other physical activities for kids who are looking for more than just a ball game. This is a great, affordable (compared to the Big leagues) night out "right in your own backyard"! Bring the family!

Not a bad seat in the house. A great way to spend time with the family and see baseball at nice level. The food, the drinks, are all there to enjoy...yes, and the games are better in person.

This is one of the nicer parks that I have seen.
Free parking, wide concourse, good field access and a well stocked and not cramped team store.
Only negative is a no backpack policy,so hard to stay organized.
Other than that great!

Exactly how do you get $1 sodas on Thirsty Thursday? I know how to get $1 beer but have not figured out soda.

All types. Along with the standards (burger, hot dog, fries, pizza, etc.)The empanada guy is usually there. So is a grilled cheese truck. and there is also usually a teriyaki (eg, shrimp, chicken, beef). While not cheap the prices are usually not crazy.
