My late daughter and I walked through the gardens. There is a path by an open field, through an arbor where the trees are in a perfect line, and the bamboo garden is special. A nice place to getaway in the middle of everything.

It is a perfect place to go for a walk, run, picnic, to throw a ball or take a little hike in the woods along the river.

Have been walking the trails for many years. Always a great experience and the Summer blooms and wide variety of flora makes for a relaxing experience. We always have our lunch along the lake.

The horticulture faculty of Rutgers long ago began to conspire to created this great space and collection of "trials"--tests of plants before a new cultivar gets general release--that now constitute an impressive collection. To the best of my knowledge, there are no Rutgers buses which go to the gardens. I would advise calling Rutgers information. They might know.
