I am a beach girl and the beach of North Wildwood is on quality with the finest beaches in Turks and Caicos. The sand is fine and so perfectly cleaned daily. It is one of the widespread beaches where you walk forever before your toes...More

This is a great place for an autumn getaway. Crowds are gone, beach is clean an spacious, and the weather is perfect. Lots a restaurants stay open past Labor Day and plenty of clubs and bars keep the nightlife going.

The beach is good. The beach is cleaned every morning. There is a bit of a walk from the boardwalk to the water but well worth it. The waves are not big at the water's edge but there are larger waves breaking out farther. Definitely...More

North Wildwood is clean, quiet, residential but Close enough to the boardwalk. The coupons and literature in the hotels will help you to figure out where you want to eat, go for entertainment, take the kids. Everything is close by and convenient.

I love this beach! The sand is so soft, and relatively clean for being a busy public (fee) beach. I have been to other beaches in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, etc and compared to Wildwood, it feels like you are walking on sharp gravel. The...More

The beach is HUGE. So much room. It is very child and dog-friendly. The weather wasn't great but we still had fun.

Long deep beach with white powder sand. Umbrella and good quality chair for $24 rental for day if you don't feel like carrying your diningroom set with you. Ocean floor was sandy and not mucky mud.

I would agree that most are across the street. You can go to the wildwoodsnj website and view the map of many of the hotels as well as the visitors guide which could help. Entering North Wildwood and oceanfront, though, only... More

There is a motel on 18th called the Sahara which is very nice and newly remodeled. It is on the boardwalk and had wood planks the beach. Very nice location

I have only been to Wildwood once and it was almost 20 years ago. I am looking for a rental in North Wildwood to stay with family and would like to stay a little way from the amusement piers but still be able to easily access the boardwalk. Our children are high school/college-aged and there is also a 10 year-old. I have found some beautiful places to rent that are in the last couple of streets in North Wildwood, on the Hereford Inlet but am not sure if the beach this far down is as nice and sandy as it is a little further down. My husband and my boys have always liked to play marathon wiffle ball games on the beach so it would be nice to have room to play behind the sunbathers. Any recommendations about the area would be helpful. We stayed in the south end of Ocean City a couple of summers ago and loved the peace and quiet. The boardwalk in Ocean City was lovely but the rides were a little too tame for the kids.
