I stopped in to see the Vintage Car Museum when I went to see the Museum of Boating next door and have to say that this is a very underrated museum.
It has the most interesting collection of vintage cars from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. There were some of the original ‘horseless carriages’ from the 1890’s that I have only seen in the movies. They had some original Ford cars including the Model T.
The cars were all in mint condition and so well displayed with signage that explained where and when they were made.
Their hours and days open are sporadic but when you can visit, take the time to stop in and admire the cars.

Found this place from a pamphlet at the hotel we were staying and I would say it was worth a visit when in the area. Had around 6-7 vintage cars on display and a big model vehicle collection. Caretaker was very pleasant and even let my son get into the midget car which he found very fun :) next to free museum of Boating so good to do together.

This place is so surprisingly nice. There are many older cars that are restored and on weekends there are those who also bring the restored cars to the back parking lot so visitors can see what they have to offer. Highly recommended!

Went to a Car Show in Jackson to display my 1939 Ford and was handed a brochure for this place. Today my wife and I were in Pt. Pleasant (Jenkinson's) and on my way home, remembered the brochure. So, we decided to stop in. It was off the beaten path (end of Bay Ave and in the back off the road). The admission is FREE, so why not go in. It is very small (for a museum) but real quaint. There were about 8 antique/vintage cars on display as well as some very old "pressed steel" toy trucks, vintage life size gas pumps, model cars, gas signs, and many other 50's memorabilia. The gentleman that was the caretaker was very pleasant to speak with which made for an enjoyable visit. They were also selling raffles for a 1966 Mustang Conv. as well as an old restored Sunoco Gas Pump...so I gladly purchased an entry for each. We were there for about 40 minutes and was told that they change the cars around every few months...so when I am back in the area, I will surely drop in.

My son found this museum on-line, and loves cars (I love antique cars, too.), so we drove from Rockland County, NY, in the rain, yesterday, just to see this museum. My son enjoyed it, but in my opinion, it definitely was not worth the trip! Only a handful of real cars are on display, and they're mostly, or all, race cars (not my personal cup of tea). I did enjoy looking at the vast model vehicle collection, particularly of the antique cars, and even the train. The other memorabilia around was fun to look at, too. I would really call this a collection, instead of a museum, but there are placards, telling about the real cars, so perhaps, this makes it a museum.
I could see coming here if you need a rainy day activity, when you're in or near Pt. Pleasant.

The museum is free, but accepts donations. Very small museum with just a couple of cars. There is a lot of auto memorabilia like old car-related signs, gas pumps, model cars, etc. After reading about this place for several years, was hoping there would be more. Staff was friendly.

You may have trouble finding it. It's actually off of Bay Ave. many different autos and memorabilia. If you haven't been there in a while, visit again. They change things up every now and again. Great bunch of people who run this.

Nice place for car nuts "down the shore" especially if you are out crusin' and looking for a place to hook up with some fellow enthusiasts and chat about vintage autos. Its small, with a few cars, but they rotate them in and out. I applaud their dedication to the hobby. Nice place to connect and network

Always love visiting this unique place in Point Pleasant. Always changing - done well. Great location on the water - grabbed a bite to eat afterwards on the corner - there are some great eateries. Family friendly.
