Kids, sea breeze, great rides and games
I am from Texas and I have never been on a boardwalk before. Reminds me a little of the State Fair of Texas but with a great sea breeze and lovely view of the ocean. The aquarium is small and a peaceful cool place to spend some time out of the heat. The kids in our group had a blast on all the rides.

A nice relaxing walk on the Boardwalk just before schools let out for the summer
Walking on the Jenkinson Boardwalk is like taking a trip back to high school when I used to have all the time in the world. The rides, the food, the music brought back so many memories of good times in the past. It has gotten expensive over the years and the price for pizza and other foods on the Boardwalk have gotten a bit exorbitant. Still it is a nice way to spend an afternoon just walking around and enjoying the breezes.

Program: watch the fires on 4 July
We went to the boardwalk to see the fireworks of July 4. Very busy, despite the cold wind. Restaurants, diners and ice cream shops were all full, with queues to order and be served. Some stores do not accept card, but have nearby cash box for withdrawals. To access the boardwalk it is not necessary to pay, but the costs of the products there are quite high.

A Nice Boardwalk with Plenty of Options
Great boardwalk with lots of food, shopping and entertainment options. Try to plan to park aways away, as it is pricey, both to park and to get on the beach. But you can enjoy it just fine without the sand, if you like. Much cheaper. Also, includes rides for the kiddies, so families can have a good time.

Despite an expected heat index of 104, I brought my 10 yr old son here at the start of a Tuesday wristband day. Parking was easy across the street for $2.25/hr. I paid $9 up front and it was plenty, the main lot at the amusement park is $15 and then 1 block down is $10. They should expedite selling wristbands, as all the employees are lounging in the rides because nobody has a wristband for the first 15 minutes. There is almost no shade here, expect kids to run around without masks and parents to either wear them around their chins or not at all. There was some people trying to enforce masks at times. We wore ours unless drinking water in between rides. The lines were short, despite some ride cleaning in between, we never waited very long. We felt pretty comfortable for our Covid safety based on the crowd size. We went out to the boardwalk and found 2 places that had Dole Whip's in different flavors and would consider returning for other attractions.

I usually go almost every Sat just for the day but this weekend was my first this summer due to covid worries. I like to get there early, by 8am, get free street parking & stay til lunch time & avoid the crowds.
I was pretty impressed & will be returning next Sat.
I had been in Ocean CIty NJ for a week in late July & can tell you I saw much more mask wearing at PP. I would say 80% of people on boardwalk wearing masks. Same with people walking to their spots on the beach. I even saw quite a few wearing masks all day while sitting on the beach - that I think is overkill not to mention it was 90+ Deg out. but whatever makes someone comfortable.
One concern... the women working the booth where we bought our daily beach wristband had no barrier between her & us & wore no mask at all.
Bathrooms were clean. Got a snack on the boardwalk & all workers wearing masks.
We did not do any rides - not comfortable with that yet but it was a really good beach day.

We decided to take an impromptu trip to Pt Pleasant. Not too much open but a nice day for that cool ocean air in your face. I think the Aquarium was open but best to check. Parking was easily available since we went mid week in the spring, but they still get you on the meters. Haven't been here the past few summers because of the crowds and the high price tag.

Boardwalk & beach are both VERY underwhelming. If this is the only boardwalk + beach combo you can manage, then it’s sufficient i suppose. You’d be MUCH better off driving the extra 40 minutes to Ocean City, even Atlantic City or even Seaside is better (and that’s saying a lot). This beach is short & crowded, costs $14 for adults, and drops off 10ft or so to the water surface. The boardwalk is short (maybe a 1000’), narrow (15’ across), and lame— gimmicky attractions, arcades & food. Skee ball is $1.50 per game?? Parking is also nonexistent.
On the other hand, Ocean city boardwalk is several MILES long, 50 feet across, has 2 whole amusement parks, and packed with great games, shops, novelty stores, great food and unmatched arcades (Jilly’s). Beaches there are $10, clean, wide, and very long. Ocean City is better in every way, and better for every age group including families & those who are older (I’m 24, my parents are 50, and we have never had a bad experience there the past 15 years we’ve gone). I don’t even know how Point Pleasant managed to make ANY ‘Top 10 Boardwalks in NJ’ list online. It stinks! Never going back

Everything is overpriced. Beach access stinks; as you can’t get on the beach early or stay a bit later.
Another greedy corporation that nickel and dime you for everything; including taking away beach passes from hotels ,
Will not be coming back anytime soon. Only positive I have is the boardwalk was clean for the most part

Been going to Jenkinsons for 17 summers. Time to find a new beach experience even though we live in Point Pleasant Beach. It’s expensive yet super restrictive. Can’t go on the beach after hours to enjoy the ocean and the super high dunes block our longtime view of the Atlantic. We got two beach badges for $100 each and a friend lost one with a week left of the summer. Even though when you buy a beach badge they ask your name, address, phone number and you have a unique badge number, they won’t replace your badge if lost. We had to buy a whole new badge with 10 days to go. But the the worst was the lack of social distancing and no enforcement of mask wearing that made this summer the last straw. We did t feel safe AT ALL. They dont care about us. Bye bye Jenkinsons.

My family and I had a great day at the Jersey Shore after the expected gap of over a year. All of the expected Jersey shore boardwalk attractions were available. The one complaint I would have might be that so much of especially food items were overpriced - sometimes dramatically so.

Typical overpriced touristy stuff, but the kids loved it. Have to pay $10 per adult to use the beach ($11 on holidays), but the convenience is that you can eat at numerous places nearby. You also can shower off and use the bathroom at the bath house. Great if you don’t want to drive home in wet bathing suits.

We went on Wednesday night with a party of 11, 5 kids and 6 adults, we were seated at two separate tables. The servers are all wearing masks and tables nicely spaced. The menu is slightly limited but the food was good, it’s not gourmet by any means but sitting outside brings a sense of normalcy. We will return.

I've been a patron of Risdens Beach since the early 70's. It is a different beach now. It used to be a Family element. Lot's of fond memories. Now it's trashed. Out of town people coming, using foul language, boom boxes with offensive rap music, drinking, smoking marijuana. I've actually seen men urinating in the parking lot.
I don't feel safe there anymore 😪. I don't think it will ever recover. The owner of the beach cares more about profit than the safety of family's. It's depressing. I actually bought a beach pass this year and after witnessing all this I haven't been back. It's now a party beach. If you want covid and a loud chaotic 🤪 time. This is your beach.
