Sienna ROCKS!
From greeting us at door, seating us in a great corner booth to her service rest of night, she rates 100%.
We dove in early to try the Cape May Orange Cream IPA, the Drunken clams in garlic broth, the Voted Best in NJ Shore,
as #1 Port Wine 9 ounce burger was really good, yes messy but served with sautéed onions, burger, cheesy sauce and toasted bun worked well.
An appetizer plate of 6 fresh fried oysters ($10.95) rounded out the array of food and all were made well and served hot and fresh.
Great job, kitchen staff, as it was busy this Wednesday night.
And Noah, the bus kid who made sure all our plates were cleared and smiled while doing his job. I see film in your future!

Carved up wooden tables with people's graffiti is a bit strange but I guess it's part of the atmosphere - this place has been here seemingly forever and finally got a chance to try it out. Parking is across the street, in a gravel / unpaved sort of lot next to the railroad tracks (there are very few spaces in front of the place.) Good night out with friends, big portions, but the Mexican potato skins and burger I had was just uninspired. Attentive waitstaff. Can be very busy.

Fun place to stop in for quick lunch, dinner or cocktails. Tony and Danny have owned this spot for years and have a loyal following. Delicious fresh seafood and top notch drinks make it a must stop when in the Pt Pleasant Beach area. Karaoke and trivia night are both fun too.

We come to the Ark probably 4 x a month as locals. Tonight I ordered the appetizer of crab cakes as a dinner. I specifically asked the waitress if I could go that. Needless to say she never asked me if I wanted baked potatoe or rice or fries. Really? Bill came she charged me the appt price and $6 for house salad!!! They also constantly came and wanted to take my plate while my husband still had a full fish. Come on!!

A great new find for me is The Ark Pub & Eatery. Recommended by a local friend, I met other friends there for dinner on a Sunday evening. What a great experience! I loved the atmosphere, food and service. My friends had the flounder which was nicely done. I totally enjoyed the Ark Sampler which included two clams casino, two stuffed clams, two large shrimp and two scallops! Our server, Lisa, had a perfect personality for the restaurant! 401 Sea Ave., NJ 35.

Went there last night and was disappointed with the food. We got the appetizer special which was shrimp wrapped in bacon with roasted red peppers. The shrimp were huge and very good but they drowned it with too much brown sauce and it ruined the flavor. Sometimes less is better. I got the jersey shore award burger which they said was rated number 1 and I didn't like it at all. It had too much port wine cheese on it and ruined the flavor. My husband had the cod special which was pricey. It was $25.95 and he couldn't even finish it. Once again they put so much sauce on it and they ruined it. We've been coming here for years and it use to be so good but the last 2 times coming, we were very disappointed. Needless to say we won't be back.

I tried to think of a place I had been to in the past that was worse than this place, but couldn’t co e up with one. The balsamic dressing for the salad was very peppery. The calamari was rubbery. The grilled mahi mahi was so over cooked, it was tough to chew.

Our family went here several times this month fir lunch and dinner. Great burgers with many selections. Seafood platter was amazing. Salad comes with dinner and the blue cheese dressing is scrumptious. Prices are reasonable.

Trip to Point to Opdyke's for holiday crafts, The Ark is close by, have stopped in before. Mid-week is quiet until maybe 1PM. Nights are a bit louder, but winter season is one of those beautiful seasons down the shore. We (3) had pulled pork sandwich, barbecue chicken sandwich, broiled flounder sandwich, all served with fries, pickles and coleslaw. Each sandwich served on pretzel roll (our choice), all were great. The Ark encourages locavore menu, whenever possible, so seafood is locally sourced as well as farm grown produce. If you're a beer fan the choices are vast and different. Don't worry about the carved initials in the high back benches, it's part of the charm, not vandalism. Service is attentive, check backs not intrusive. One warning----very few parking spaces in front, plenty across the street, lot has a sign. Yeah, it can be a bit loud on busy nights, but that's part of the atmosphere.

Went down to Point Pleasant Beach to visit niece with Hubby. Wanted something close by. A 5 minute walk took us to The Ark. We started with some steamers, gotta have steamed clams at the shore! Delish! Also got the fried calamari, good, not greasy or chewy. Hubby and I ordered burgers, I shared mine with the niece. His, medium rare, mine rare. Finally someone who knows the difference between rare and raw. My compliments to the chef! My burger was perfect, rare and juicy. Fries were good, should have asked for crispy. All in all an excellent choice. One of the best burgers I've ever had. So many places claim they have the best burger, The Ark does!
