The Princeton Art Museum was so much larger and had a much larger collection of art than I had anticipated. Right in the middle of downtown so you can easily make a day of it and grab some lunch or dinner too.

Incredibly comprehensive art museum worthy of multiple visits. Almost every object - thousands on display, approximately 100,000 available - is described in detail so that readers can really appreciate what they see. The artwork covers 5000 years of global artwork and there are special exhibitions...More

The museum has interesting exhibits and is small enough to tour within one hour. There is a small shop in the front. Outdoor seating for warm weather. The fall exhibit on Slavery and Princeton was amazing.

Compact museum is good for a few hours. There aren’t famous paintings that you’ve seen in books, but there are representative paintings from the major periods in Western art. I didn’t go to the lower level that had ancient and Eastern art. Some of the paintings...More

Since there is no parking on campus, I generally park on or near Nassau Street and walk to the museum.
