The Tuckerton Seaport is small and smaller yet out of season, but a wealth of information if you have any interest in local NJ history. The boatmans museum a,d history of local native tribes is enlightening and the part our state and this area played in our revolution was interesting and educational. Draw backs would probably be crowds in season... More

At one time, this was a seaport. There is a 'small' village and a light house. There are seasonal activities....best one during Halloween. The grounds have 'ghosts' and 'creepy' people to scare both adults and children. Fun times! Also, at Christmas, a holiday fair.

This was a great museum. It consists of several buildings (approx 10) which you can tour. There is a lot of walking; but its mainly all flat. The main bldg. has stairs...but I think there was an elevator. We toured the entire grounds and it took us approx 2.5 hours. (This was two adults) There is a Visitor Center with... More

This village is charming and has a lot to see, but is not overwhelming. Great find! Going for Christmas as they have special exhibits. Loved it - lots to see. Can do in a couple of hours, but spend more time, if you like! What a great place for a stroll.

We visited on the way to cape may. From their website I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping for at least ice cream. No ice cream, but it's a huge complex of museums and other buildings built around an inlet. The theme is how they made a living from the marsh. The light house no longer works but... More

Stopped here for the lighthouse challenge, and we were so surprised at the surroundings. There is a boardwalk, and an antique car show was going on. Apparently there are a lot of things happening here throughout the year, so we plan on coming back
