If you have time, pop into the museum. They have very well maintained pieces and it gives you a better back story of the gardens and history of the place. Cool spot for just R20!

If you have a little spare time when you are passing through Franschhoek then have a look at the Huguenot museum and memorial, it will tell you an important story and there gardens and restaurant are beautiful

small but well displayed items of the history of the cape and the French Huguenots, it was pretty quite and we were alone in the one area and the other side had only another couple. entrance is only R20 per adult and R5 per child....More
