While nothing extra special...this was a great way to get out to see and photograph the seals! It was a clean boat with plenty of outside space and we got up very close the seals. It didn't take long, and the choice is yours whether to stop at the many vendors on the docks.

This was part of a package deal so would say was not a must do thing in cape town. The short cruise takes you to the seal colony and you can also sit on the open deck to enjoy the view. The ride is short but you can enjoy the seals having their time and the vast ocean. Not a... More

We were warned that the sea was rough and we couldn't get near the island to see them. We were promised to see seals though. If you can called seeing the silhouette of a seal's head from 2 km away seeing it then, we saw it. I'm sure the tour is great on a not rough day. So if you... More

Fairly good ride on a clean and well maintained boat to the Seal colony. Our 4 year old who is a fan of Jake the pirate - insisted on role playing throughout the ride. Great fun. Ahoy!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Cape Town. Hout Bay is a gorgeous part of the city and visiting Seal Island is an awesome experience. The Drumbeat boat was in excellent condition and the staff were exceptional.Highly recommend.

As visitors to the Cape we were eager to see seals and the fine looking Drumbeat boat, in Hout Bay, offered this experience. Information and service at the quayside office were very helpful and friendly. As it turned out the weather was windy and the sea choppy but the professionalism of the staff and skipper was impressive. Crew members in... More

We did a sunset tour with a large group of friends. The sunset views were incredible and seeing the Atlantic shoreline from a different view was simply awesome! The seals did not disappoint us and put on a great show, the friendly staff were very informative, polite & accommodating to everyone. The toilets were lovely and clean (I hate public... More

We did the tour on Drumbeat Charters to Seal Island on part of our tour to Cape Point. We arrived for the early crossing at 9.00am it was a perfect morning. The boat journey took about 50 minutes and we got very close to the seals....on the way back got some excellent views of Chapman's Peak Drive and Hout Bay...... More
