This was one of the highlights of our trip to Cape Town. Hout Bay is a gorgeous part of the city and visiting Seal Island is an awesome experience. The Drumbeat boat was in excellent condition and the staff were exceptional.Highly recommend.

As visitors to the Cape we were eager to see seals and the fine looking Drumbeat boat, in Hout Bay, offered this experience. Information and service at the quayside office were very helpful and friendly. As it turned out the weather was windy and the sea choppy but the professionalism of the staff and skipper was impressive. Crew members in... More

We did a sunset tour with a large group of friends. The sunset views were incredible and seeing the Atlantic shoreline from a different view was simply awesome! The seals did not disappoint us and put on a great show, the friendly staff were very informative, polite & accommodating to everyone. The toilets were lovely and clean (I hate public... More

We did the tour on Drumbeat Charters to Seal Island on part of our tour to Cape Point. We arrived for the early crossing at 9.00am it was a perfect morning. The boat journey took about 50 minutes and we got very close to the seals....on the way back got some excellent views of Chapman's Peak Drive and Hout Bay...... More

This was a great value and safe 40 minute boat ride to "Seal Island". The boat got really close and moved position several times so that all on board got a great view of the seals both in the water and basking on the rocks. You get great views also of the Bay as you depart and return. We took... More

This is good value for money. R85 (I think) is a bargain for the long trip in the middle of the day. After stopping off at Seal Island, it travels across the bay towards Chapman's Peak Drive, then follows it all the way back to the harbor. I phoned the day before and booked. A very friendly lady explained that... More

Clean and organized basic no frills outing - but a well stocked pub and snack bar (crisps and sweets etc) for those who want. Toilets on board. The tour was well worth it - I am very scared on boats so was a deep breath moment as we approached the seal island as it got somewhat rough but we were... More

Okay...bit of a rip off really... nevermind saw the grey seals... Don't blame them for taking advantage of the tourists.. Would not recommend.

We did the cruise today. .. With a well deserved cold beer in hand ... We all thoroughly enjoyed it . The drinks were not overpriced and I believe that the trip was goods value for money.

Thank Chad R
