Been twice lately, first for lunch when they were doing prawn specials, half kilo of prawns for Rand150 (about £9.00) we had it between two and it was more than enough. Second trip was Sunday afternoon when they put on free entertainment. Food was as usual great and reasonably priced by tourist standards. Seating is a bit basic on picnic... More

The varnish on the tables is pealing and the whole place seemed pretty shabby. However the location is fun, one is surrounded by fishing boats and seals, and I found the calamari and chorizo salad pretty decent. I was a little surprised to be served the salad on on a hot plate and discovered that both the calamari and the... More

This is a very popular restaurant and at times is jam packed with too many people which makes it very noisy and chaotic.

Sunday the 4th of December was a Birthday event and for the 3rd time we telephoned this establishment for a reservation, prior to going. They were either full or,or,or. and not helpful at all. In the end we elected to go elsewhere We had been twice before and both times we were treated indifferently by the waitress/waitron staff especially so when... More

There is a restaurant with similar name but the actual lookout area is free and it is a frequent stop for both tour-buses and private vehicles. The views are lovely and it is mainly a photo opportunity.

This used to be one of our favourite places to eat but unfortunately standards have slumpt and not picked up since last year when we visited. The view from the deck may be great but the food is far from that!

Great food and great people. I have noticed it has slowly started to degrade in all aspects over the last three years. Sushi was okay but not great.

The Hout Bay Lookout is a favorite stop for tourists, but it doesn't seem to be crowded, even with three or four busloads in the parking area. Perhaps it is because the available viewpoints are so extended that you don't have to jockey around others for a photo. The ocean waves splashing ashore and the sweeping curve of the mountain...
