We were 4 in our group. Neville was our guide, he was very informative, helpful and knowledgeable. We loved Aunty Gigi, she was the Cape Malayan woman we had the cooking safari with. She showed and helped us prepare 4 traditional cape malay dishes. She was incredible and we were so moved that she opened her home and invited us... More

We made wonderful curry in a lovely home environment. Such a warm experience. Spice market. Samosas, just delicious. Great way to get to know local people and foods without an expensive restaurant. Would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone interested in food.

Our guide Albert met us at the Bo'kaap Museum and went through the history of the neighbourhood, how Islam became a part of the city and how the neighbourhood survives today. He was knowledgable and had a real love... More

The Malay Cooking Tour we booked through Andulela was an excellent experience! Monique was very easy to work with; she was quick to respond to all of my emails and questions, and the booking process is simple to follow. Our guide Sabs was knowledgeable, friendly, and just plain fun. The walking portion of the tour is not strenuous at all,... More
