The name De Wetshof has been synonymous with the production of fine wines in South Africa since the 1970's. As the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, De Wetshof has become known internationally as South Africa's eminent Chardonnay House due to the pioneering role it played in introducing this noble Burgundian grape to the country.

Known for their Chardonnay, it absolutely did not disappoint. Cozy, beautiful setting.Heinrich, our host was knowledgeable, funny and made the experience extra special.Definitely worth a visit.

Too bad the cellar is not open for visitors without a prior appointment, but both the driveway and the view of the estate are extremely nice photo opportunities. And their wines are simply divine :-) ...

It's easy to miss the rather discreet entrance to Wetshof driving down R62, but don't! They offer a very nice professional testing of fabulous wines in a beautiful environment.

Friendly assistance on a blistering hot day. The sommelier handled some unruly guests with respect and kindness. Very impressed by the patience and professionalism shown to guests.
