While there are other markets on Phu Quoc, this is certainly the biggest and worth a visit. Compared to the night markets I’ve been to in Thailand this one has a very different feel. Expect a dose less of the purpose made for tourists, mass...More

A hassle-free few streets next to the atmospheric river. Enjoyable just to stroll around looking at such things as the containers of live fish, shrimps, even sea snakes. We bought Rayban sunglasses, red peppercorns and rather good Vietnamese wine at 90,000 (£3) each, before having...More

I enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the night market, wide variety of bars, cafes and souvenir shops. It was very busy, but I felt perfectly safe. Only slight annoyance was every few 100 yards, there was touts trying to get you to taste peanuts.

so many people here, souvernir is boring and always too expensive. The King Mart 'supermarket' is well worth a visit.

In the ten months since we were last here the market has become a tourist trap. Not so many stalls and those that are there are replicated every couple of steps The nut sellers will drive you nuts, literally....buy some and hold them in plan...More
