Breath taking awesome sites and the rocks are amazing. This looks like a terrifc spot for RV Camping. The rocks are formed from volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. Well worth the visit!

It has many interesting rock formations. The many campsites randomly placed throughout makes it a little odd to explore.

The hike around the City of Rocks is rough on my old arthritic knees but well worth it in the end. Beauty in the arid Southwest.

Loved our drive thru C of R. Reminds me of Garden of Gods in Colo. Springs. Rock formations are awesome and hiking is very good. Can you imagine seeing the writings of emigrants on Camp Rock from the 1800s. Very out of the way and...More

A couple of hours would be plenty. That being said, we felt as though we would like to camp there at a future date as it is so unique.
