Nine delighting waterfalls

It was the best attraction we went. There are nine waterfalls and its natural pools. Be sure to enter all of them!

Good organization and structure! Great for all ages! Easy to moderate walking trails. Beautiful waterfalls and landscaping. They have bathrooms, parking, restaurant, etc. Save a day to see all the waterfalls.

Great place to visit @ Visconde de Mauá! Organized access and trails are well indicated. Located within a private property. The best view of the Alcantilado valley is from the waterfall named Alcantilado at 1,500m elevation. There are at least half a dozen waterfalls to visit and bath on the way up to the Alcantilado waterfall.

Great outdoor activity where you can go up a 40 minutes trail passing by many beautiful cascades. The road there is not paved but it´s worth the effort. Any 2WD car can go.

We enjoyed visiting Maringá after many, many years, and find out that it remains a nice and small place for nature lovers. There is no urban life there, aside from small crafts stores and good small restaurants. People who live there care for the place. No littering, no noise on the roads that cross the villages. They keep it green... More

This is a place for nature lovers. There are 9 waterfalls to see, two of them good for swimming. The track in the woods is good, not very hard if the weather is dry. Going up to 1.500 meters you can admire the amazing scenery of Mauá and Maringá mountains.

Visit also the Motorcycle Museum located in the area. More than 100 two wheels to check. Visit to Alcantilado waterfalls is a demanding walk, that may take almost 2 hours for the whole tour, so be prepared.

A wandering drive on a dirt road brings you to this marvelous valley - with, as others have said, 9 waterfalls on one trail. A well-maintained path and a steep but walkable hike brings you some stunning scenery. As it's a private park you can take your dogs on leash along, and have a nice pastel and homemade cachaca at... One of the main attractions in Visconde de Mauá, the Alcantilado is a natural reserve where you can see in the same track nine different waterfalls and even bath in some of them (beware that the water is extremely cold even during summer). The track runs for 3.5 km (1.5 mile) with somewhat easy access to all waterfalls.
