The hot springs are not the usual high end pools. They have unusual art and there are supposed to be peacocks running around although I did not see them . The campground registration allows you to use pools that are not available to day users and are available 24 hr/day. The staff were very friendly . The pools were various... More

We went for the healing water and healthful experience of the hot springs, but we were disappointed by the unexpected tolerance of cigarette smoking right in the pool areas! Ashtrays are all over, so don't expect an escape from gross cigarette smoke and smokers in any location. Really, really disappointed. Also patrons' rude loud talking and laughing diminished the serene... More

We were traveling from Santa Fe to Austin and decided to look for a hot springs along the way. We just happened upon Faywood Springs and booked it. I was a little reluctant thinking it was in the middle of nowhere, it was going to be far too rustic for my tastes and we'd be stuck. Wow, I couldn't have... More

Quiet place, clean tubs. Staff was friendly. There are clothing optional tubs for the brave at heart. Worth the stop & not terribly far from the Gila forest. This is a good alternative to high traffic springs.

When i go to Tucson , i skip the depressing motels and stop either in truth or consequence or here between Deming and silver city. always a treat to be soaking in starry night in the middle of the desert . no city or traffic noises there , just you and the springs..

Chose this place over campgrounds in the mountains for a labor day weekend outing. Stayed at the clothing optional tent sites. Spent the majority of my time lounging at the clothing optional public pools. The soaking in the hot mineral water, and alternating between soak and lounging was way cooler than hanging out at the campsite where there was no... More

Thanks Stefanie ( owner of the resort ) for introducing me to Faywood Hot Springs! Faywood Hot Springs is the FINEST resort I've been to in a long time - and I've been everywhere! The attention to detail and CLEANLINESS of this Oasis is unparalleled! Peacocks for pest control are a wonderful idea! The use of domestic cats by Faywood... More

Although the cabins are clean and comfortable and the grounds pleasingly natural - the owners have cultivated a colony of 16 cats for the purpose of rodent control. Kittens and cats alike are left to the elements and predators, without shelter. It was 102 degrees while I was there... Coyotes, hawks, and rattlers are present in abundance. These cats are not... My wife and I went there to soak and relax. We paid $60 for a private soak and had to listen to noisey dirt bikes without mufflers race around the property. As we were leaving we were harassed by the owner for unintentionally parking in the wrong spot .

I love visiting every hot springs area I can, and stop here every time I visit Silver City. The visitor's center has some cool stuff to see if you're into Native American artifacts. The springs vary in size and temperature and are indeed rustic, but that doesn't bother me. I plan to visit this week on my way to Silver... More
