Interesting place. Much bigger than expected. The pamphlets did it injustice. They have special events there. A good museum of the history of farming and some animals on display. A good way to kill a few hours.

Very cool place to take younger children. It's set up well and the kids will have a blast. The people working there are super friendly and the outdoor area is very impressive. Take your time and let the kids look at everything and the food is actually pretty OK too.

We have gone here so many times and it never gets dull! We have 3 kids, ages 14,9 and 4 and they all love going. I always like to see when they have new activities or events going on. Walking around seeing the animals, all the exhibits is always a nice way to spend an afternoon.

There is a great deal to see at this museum and the people that volunteer make it even better. We were given a tour of the outside areas in a large golf cart and the driver was extremely knowlegeable of the various breeds of cattle and goats maintained here; as well as the history of the various buildings and structures.... Pleasantly surprised. Very nice exhibits (inside) on bees and honey, textiles, the Elephant Butte dam and Rio Grande. Preserves and presents many oral history, photographs, art work, wagons, tools, farm equipment, and many other artifacts of SW life. Guided tour of outside corrals and animals kept there. Wonderful introduction/ overview of local and regional history. Excellent textile exhibit.

I spent my summers on the family ranch and it was almost as good as being home. Interesting New Mexico history exhibits inside. Free for us Veteran's.

My friends and I enjoyed the tour they gave us in the ranch while explaining the kinds of animals they have. If I am around Las Cruces I will go again and it also fun to take your kids they can be very excited to see everything.

We were visiting our oldest son (an ag major) at college and decided to check out the nearby museum. The docents were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The displays were all very interesting and we learned quite a bit. The museum is also very attractive with nice grounds.

Great museum it starts out with explaining all about bees everything you always wondered and now you will know. I took a guided tour around the outside took a lot of pictures. Very inexpensive to come here and spend a lot of hours. Every room with something different lot of information they must see.
