This mission is very well kept. It is over 400 yrs old. There is a gift shop and restrooms. There is no fee. Family friendly.

This is a must see if traveling to Socorro. The Mission has been rebuilt but still has the rustic look and feel of the past.

My wife and I love history and this place was on our list to visit. We go there each time we are in town. Our dear friend in Socorro attends church there and gave us more history of the church. It is a great place to worship and visit.

This little church has been around since the 1600's! It has since and recently been remodeled and is beautiful!! Mass is held every Sunday at 8, 10 and Noon. The music is great and the masses are always full.

We probably spent maybe 20 minutes here in the beautiful old church, admiring the stained glass windows and the quiet solitude. The alter was decorated with Christmas trees on both sides as our visit was a couple of days after Christmas. Near the rear of the church is a place where the floor is glass to show the old foundation... More

Restored church. Worth a 30 min visit. I think it maybe the tallest building in downtown Socorro. You can't miss it.

The mission is most likely the most beautiful building in Socorro. If possible, take the time to go inside. The view is particularly stunning from the balcony.

They've beautifully restored the 1615 San Miguel mission. Definitely worth a visit while in the Socorro area!

Ultimately, this is easy. If you have some time on your hands in Socorro, go see it. One of the better town churches in New Mexico and a somewhat interesting architectural study. In particular, it's fun to compare the two towers from the front.
