They house is beautiful, but the art isn't all that great. We went once and that was enough -won't likely be back. Nice staff though!

This is an amazing little find! A wonderful story about the family who first lived here. The incredibly talented artist who fashioned his home into a work of art. Fantastic hand carved furniture and accents all through the house. The displays of his portrait paintings...More

The art hanging in this little museum is very nice—a sampler of art done in Taos in early 20th century. But what drops your jaw is the beautiful and extensive woodwork done by the artist Nicolai Fechin for this place which was once his home....More

The art displayed at the Taos Art Museum is always wonderful and nicely displayed, but the real star of the show is the Fechin House itself, the former home of Russian artist, Nicolai Fechin. Fechin not only painted, mostly portraits, with insight and flair, but...More

The most impressive part of this museum is fechin's woodwork which is so incredible it must be seen to be believed. His portraits of wife and daughter are also very beautiful and there are all exhibits of local artists on display as well.

Amazing viewing of Fechin’s work in his art and his house. The wood working detail he used to build his house was as impressive as his paintings. High recommend the tour.

Art Museum. is located in the artist house. Need to not only look at the art work, but the detailed wood work to the doors, furniture etc.

I did like this museum and viewing the art in his home was special. The artist was Russian painter and woodworker, Nicolai Fechin. He was quite skilled, so it was enjoyable viewing his work, although there wasn't a lot on display. They did have another...More

We went with no particular expectations and loved everything about this place. The house, built by Russian artist Fechin, is completely intact and features his carving and woodwork on nearly every surface. His art work is accomplished but it’s the woodwork where he really shines....More
