Bland?? Say it ain't so!

Lovely service and ambiance, but the food (Doc Martins menu) was bland for Taos, traditionally medium to hot Hatch. Doc's use Anaheims. Sigh. OK I get it the average dinner needs... read more

What a great spot. The Taos Inn is wonderful and an amazing place. The bar is actually right in the lobby, which has a mysterious fountain said to be there from the beginning of time. Free music every night which ends early as there are rooms above but usually ends around 9.30 or so which is fine. The specialties are... More

Some locals told us to order the amazing chilies relleno platter! We shared it, and had Margaritas! We are very happy campers!

We are locals and generally love to stop at the Adobe Bar and have a pleasant drink and a bite to eat. Today was a big disappointment. There must have been a scheduling problem because our server was apologizing to the customers and literally running through the bar waiting on tables. She was also very short tempered with her co-workers... More

Lovely service and ambiance, but the food (Doc Martins menu) was bland for Taos, traditionally medium to hot Hatch. Doc's use Anaheims. Sigh. OK I get it the average dinner needs bland. The beans, etc. were lovely. So if you like well prepared lightly New Mexican spiced, good, otherwise ask for the hot sauce. Music always as fascinating as the... More

I love the Adobe bar; it's in the Taos Inn, classic Taos architecture, very comfortable place. Happy hour features great house margaritas for $5. Live music every night. Best place in town to have a drink and get a feel for Taos.

I love Adobe bar. The margueritas are fantastic and the ambience is so Taos. The live music is almost always great. The only negative comment would be the service is just average and sometimes borders on rude. But you can't have it all !

The food was great and I was particularly fond of the Cowboy Buddha margaritas and the identical-twin, female folks singers, even though the poster only mentioned one--no mention of the sister.

Really cool little bar, great atmosphere and history, art all over the walls and beautiful thick adobe walls, stop in for a drink or two and be on your way

Our innkeeper recommended this spot when we came to Taos for the first time five years ago, and now it has become a must-stop place whenever we visit. While we enjoy having a drink/snack in the bar, the best place to be is in the lobby area between the Adobe Bar and Doc Martin's restaurant...especially on Monday evenings when they... More

I love this place and have been coming for many years. It really isn't about the drinks or the bar snacks (but the margarita selection is terrific). It's about the feel of the place. The bar is set in the main reception area of the Taos Inn, with its white adobe walls, a kiva fireplace, and massive tree trunks climbing... More
