This is a great way to see fabulous rock art. Its about a 5km round trip, beware if its hot take lots of water. You need to purchase tickets at the entrance( R40 per adult), and you are given a map with all the relevant details. We found it easy on the way there, and got lost a few times... More

Needing good exercise after excessive holiday eating? This is a great "walk" in the mountains to see the rock art from the San bushmen. Out in the open, beautiful scenery and a trip back in time that is a must for travellers. And when done, nothing like a cold beer at Travellers Rest to recharge your batteries.

Buy the booklet from the farm shop: not only does it give fascinating background and insights to this wonderful trail, but it adds an element of treasure hunting to the experience - in some places the paintings are hidden and the booklet gives hints, but not explicit directions on where to find it. Brilliant. But please treat the trail with... More

The Sevilla Rock Art Trail is a pleasant, clearly-marked walk and not too strenuous. (In spring. I imagine it is just too hot in summer.) My 71-year-old dad who is generally quite active did it without any trouble (but be warned that there are a few little scrambles up rocks to see the paintings). It took us exactly 3 hours... More

We drove to the trail from Clan William getting there early to avoid the midday heat. The Centre issues invisible permits - took the money but no ticket no record of who we were or whether we returned - nice and easy no red tape. We started the trail with a really good free map and informative brochure given to... More

We enjoyed this unconventional art tour very much. Lovely rock formations all round, an interested troop of baboons watched us coming and going, a sense of the vast wilderness area around us, and then the sheer magnificence of the rock art.

This trail was not overly long so the average hiker would be able to do this... there where so many interesting things to look at and a large amount of paintings. Dont go on a very hot day though....rather early morning. At at the restaurant afterwards and meals where good value service was friendly and quick. I think this is... More

A well marked and easy walk. Was great to spend time looking at the art and imagining how it was with dinosaurs roaming around. As with any hike one should go prepared with hat, sunblock and water and wear comfortable shoes. A must do if you are in the area. End off with a cold drink and meal at Traveller's... More
