There was no heat last night. I'm never going again. The movie was good. Someone told the cashier there was no heat and he just said it will be warmer soon

LOVE seeing movies at the Art Mission Theater. Only place in the area where you can see independent, foreign, offbeat and always interesting films. It is also an art gallery with rentable space for exhibits. Always a pleasure.

I used to go to the old Art Theater before it went up in flames. I actually went there for New Years Eve 1990 to see a show with EJ Okemoto (sp?). Enough waxing poetically. This theater is a great place to see indie movies that otherwise may never make it to the 12 theater cineplexes. Went here for a... More

VERY affordable and worth supporting. Such a nice change from the large theater chains and the only place to see thought-provoking movies with guts, depth. It's nice to buy concessions and not feel ripped off.

I've been there many times – this place is one of Binghamton's most important cultural assets. It's the only place in the region for the general public to see first-run art, indie, and foreign films. There's a charming DIY quality to the gallery space; the screening rooms are intimate yet comfortable. The staff is always warm and friendly.

Best theater, best movie selection-- best popcorn and nicest customer service. Note, this is the ONLY place in town featuring the new indie film The Re-write which is SET IN Binghamton. Kind of a no-brainer, right? It's also where I have seen countless interesting and engaging films. Eternally grateful, and a member.

I just saw Love is Strange with John Lithgow playing the older lover of a long time couple and what they went through when the younger partner ( Al Molina ) was fired by the RC Church school ( IN Manhattan??! = the church does not come off well in this film) for actually getting married and putting it on... Giving all who support and contribute to maintain The Art Theater, a pat on the back. Bless you all. It is a nice (film) alternative with cultural aspects the large theaters don't offer. Prices are a bit steep and seats too uncomfortable for me but I commend your efforts!

This is the only place you will find Indy movies or anything slightly offbeat for that matter in the Binghamton area. The theatre is small but they do a great job getting this interesting films to our area and their prices are very reasonable.
