One of the most beautiful botanical gardens I’ve been to. It’s a 250-acre area with over one million living plants. There are daily tours. At the moment (late May) the azaleas are over but the peonies are in full bloom. Georgia O’Keefe: Visions of Hawaii...More

May misses the early perennials like the daffodils and tulips, but we just made most of the azaleas and the rhododendrons were just starting to bloom!!!!!!!!!!! What a BEAUTIFUL day. The paths are maintained beautifully and the terrain/rocks are used craftily with various plant groupings....More

I was fortunate to be in NYC during the spring when many beautiful and fragrant flowers were in bloom. What better way to experience it than to go to the New York Botanical Garden. There is a fee for the garden but there are varying...More

I was instantly brought back to my childhood when the odor of blooming lilacs welcomed me into their fold. The wealth of lilacs and their beautiful aroma was just breathtaking. I could have sat among them all day. Fortunately I didn't! Continue down the path...More

The chrysanthemum show was held in an ugly setting, a building with a bare concrete floor, utility cabinets on the surrounding walls, and industrial like windows. The setting detracted from the experience. The plants themselves were beautiful and should have been displayed better. Past exhibitions...More

Unforgettable, stunningly beautiful, and wonderfully maintained, the journey from Manhattan to the Bronx was well worth it to see the Botanical Gardens. A not to be missed opportunity for plant lovers. There is often an art exhibition too. Highly recommended.

Beautifully put together. Amazing flowers. The desert part was great also. The Spring flowers are just starting to come up and the lilacs should be out mid-May

The grounds and exhibits are beautiful and so well maintained. The staff is friendly. The short tour is worth it just to understand some of the history of the grounds and exhibits. Beautiful, large gift shop with a huge selection and reasonably priced. Lovely day...More

The gardens are immaculately kept by the large staff. You must realize that not all flowers are in bloom at all seasons and plan accordingly. Many do not appear until well into May. But the best part is that a walk or tram ride takes...More
