As much of the time is spent outside, it's best to go on a good day without rain, if possible. Unfortunately since we visited in the spring, many of the gardens are still not blooming, but if you're familiar with European gardens you can get a good idea of these Sonnenberg gardens even then. We took the free tram around... More

We had a informative tour of the gardens and some green houses. The mansion was lovely and full of beautiful antiquities. There was a nice gift shop. They had tram service for people who needed them.

Be prepared to walk the paths and enjoy the huge trees and the pretty flower beds. Unfortunately we were in between the spring and summer varieties so flowers were at a minimum but still a very pretty place to spend a day. Mansion is not to be missed!

Ever since the state took over this place has gone down hill. I've been here many times over the years and it just gets worse.

I have been a member of Sonnenberg for several years and just love the peacefulness of the place. I moved away a few years ago and was back for a visit so made the time to go with my Mom, BFF and Goddaughter. We had such a wonderful time. The restoration (much needed) is going wonderfully. So nice to see... More

Whether you have just few minutes or a few hours, Sonnenberg Gardens is a must-see if you're in the Finger Lakes area! The docents and tour guides are both knowledgable and entertaining! We will be back to see more! The Japanese garden was our favorite!

Unless you have a child with a green thumb, this is definitely an attraction for adults, preferably a couple. It's also a little pricey, but definitely worth it. The gardens are amazing when everything is in bloom - July is probably the best month, but everything is so well-tended that spring through late summer is fine. My favorites are (were)... More

Beautiful gardens that you can explore at your own pace. The mansion is equally wonderful and a delight to tour. It is a gem in the middle of a neighborhood but easy to find.

Beautiful day in the gardens! Always a beautiful place to visit. A self guided tour was relaxing, peaceful and a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.
