When purchasing tickets online for the Corning Museum, it was sold as "2-day passes." I really only thought we would need this because we were doing some of the workshops and would need to come back in the next day to pick them up. I was wrong - there is so much to see and do there! The museum and... More

Prepare to be overwhelmed. You'll be overwhelmed with the stark white walls of the contemporary glass gallery, the science of making glass in the interactive technology gallery, the amount of glass in the 35 Centuries of Glass gallery, the size of the gift shop, the glass making demo's, the selection of food in the cafe, the number of hours you'll... The exhibition is beautiful, small, but beautifully done and the pieces that are in the exhibit are quite exquisite. a Huge mosaic pillar from Tiffany's show room, several fireplaces surrounds and beautiful huge plaques. Also on display are Showroom samples so customers could visualize what they were ordering. There is a wonderful exhibition book that was created to complement the... More

This was a day trip from Rochester, NY for our family to celebrate Mother's Day. We assumed that three hours would be enough time to be in a glass museum after all, how much could they have? Boy, were we wrong. My daughter wanted to do the make your own glass activity and that took an hour as she was... More

Great lesson and entertainment! Make sure to visit the demonstrations offered on the schedule, the artists are wonderful at showcasing their beautiful art and the process. The exhibits are great and plentiful. Small children or/and those with short attention span might not enjoy it as much. However, if you are patient and like to learn new things, amazing place!

We parked at the Welcome Center and it was a 3 minute walk to the museum. The 35 centuries of glass area has many amazing items and it was interesting to see so many different pieces, especially the creativity and detail in some of them. Since there are so many pieces, you can start to lose interest after a couple... More

Corning New York was the home of several of the 5 men who jump started the modern studio art glass movement in the USA. The Corning Museum of Glass is one of perhaps four imperative experiences of the American art glass movement in the USA
