Whit's End Restaurant and Riis Point Bar are excellent venues and are opened year round. The beach is incredibly beautiful this time of year and the views of both Sandy Hook and the surrounding Jersey shore are picture perfect,

Great food, great vibe. The crowd is very mixed, and there is great public transportation, and a large parking lot that never fills up!

This is by far the largest public beach in the area. They offer parking, food, beverages and even have a golf course. Sometimes they have fairs as well and it's a great day out for the family.

The water is never clear and usually rough with riptides. There is a good food court at Bay 9 and a small playground for kids at Bay 6. No boardwalk or rides. This summer the sand is dirty with food debris and hungry birds... More
